Hydroxyl Radicals are formed when ultrafine bubbles of ozone collapse under the weight of the water. Hydroxyl Radicals are non-toxic to people, animals and plants and safe for the aquatic biome.
Hydroxyl Radicals decay very quickly and their effect on disinfecting water is rapid. The added ozone degrades to oxygen which is beneficial for the health of water and leaves no damaging ecological footprint.
Disinfecting Water: Hydroxyl Radicals are highly effective at killing single cell organisms in water and wastewater including algae, bacteria, pathogens including Legionella, viruses, yeast, and spores. Unlike chemical disinfectants (eg Chlorine) there are no dangerous or problematic chemical residues.
