Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure and Resource Management
SIRM is led by Professor Chris Chow, Professor of Water Science and Engineering. The collaboration covers advanced oxidation processes, wastewater treatment optimisation, water quality improvement, emerging contaminants including PFAS, and honours and student research projects run on Hydro2050 technologies.

Dr Naras Hanumanth Rao, ARC DECRA Fellow and Senior Associate, is working on the oxidation of cyanobacterial toxins, harmful algal bloom by-products, and the mechanisms by which toxins degrade in affected water bodies.
